Stella Peisch has been undertaking research and analysis of the Middle East for over five years. She has worked for policy think-tanks, NGOs, academic research centers, tech companies, and consulting firms focusing on current events, dynamics, and trends in the region. She has a BA from Georgetown in government, Arabic, and justice and peace studies, and an MSc from the London School of Economics in international development and humanitarian emergencies. She is interested in collective trauma in post-conflict periods, specifically over contested memories and incidences of mass killings, as well as the role of service provision in the social contract between the state and the population. She is currently based in Beirut, and has dual Italian-American citizenship.
